George Eugene "Gene" Mason, age 74, of Borger died January 3, 2013.

Gene was born April 16, 1938 to Charles A and Ada Maude (Bayless) Mason in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. His parents and a son, Charles Stanley, preceded him in death.

He came from Bartlesville to Borger with his family in 1946. He served in a U.S. Army Intel Unit and was honorably discharged. He was employed by Phillips Petroleum for many years as a leadoff yardman.

He was a kind and generous man and our family takes comfort that he is with his Lord and Saviour and will be waiting for us.

He is survived by 2 sons, John Christopher of Borger and Homer Timothy and Angelia Mason of Mustang, OK. 4 sisters, Jo Mason of Oklahoma City, OK, Judith Parker of Crowley, TX, Joan Savage and husband Errol of Duncanville, TX, Rosalie Overbay and husband Don of Borger, TX, 1 brother, Tom Mason of Crowley, TX. 3 grandsons, Tim Mason of Germany, Dustin and Trey Mason of Mustang, OK. 2 granddaughters, Chelsea Clement and husband Allen, of Yukon, OK. and Tiffany Mason of Mustang, OK. 1 great-grandson, Jake of Mustang, OK. 2 Aunts and many nieces and nephews that will miss him.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, January 10 at First Assembly of God, 500 Mackenzie, Stinnett, Texas.
