Services for LaWana Cox, 64, of Lubbock will be at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at the Ralls First Baptist Church with Rev. Floyd Haddock officiating. Burial will follow in the Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls. Lawana passed away Sunday, November 9, 2008 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.

She was born July 31, 1944 in McAlester, Oklahoma to the late Paris and Ola (Willis) Adams. On March 19, 1989 she married Wesley Cox in Las Vegas, Nevada. A longtime resident of Lubbock, she had worked for Behren's Wholesale Drugs for 14 years, the USDA for 5 years and had worked with her husband at Cox Wood Yards for 20 years. She enjoyed being in the outdoors, travelling, camping and fishing. She also enjoyed music and spending time with her family.

Survivors include; her husband Wesley of Lubbock, two sons and their wives; Eddie and Tammy Robertson, Darrell and Emberley Robertson all of Ponca City, Oklahoma, two step daughters and their husbands; Alicia and Jeff Schmidt of Virginia Beach, VA, Joni and Robert Lancaster of Atlanta, Georgia, three brothers; P. E. Adams of Slaton, Richard Adams of Lubbock, Lee Roy Adams of Odessa, 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Serving as pallbearers will be; Monty Stanley, Leonard Stanley, David Stanley, Mark Adams, Carl Adams and Paris Robertson.
