Stanley A. McCown, 74, Borger, died Thursday, Oct. 11, 1995 in St. Anthony's Hospice in Amarillo.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Gardner Church of Christ with Mr. Richard Kasko, minister, officiating.

Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

A native of Beckham County, Okla., he had been a Borger resident since 1947.

Mr. McCown was a gager [sic] for Phillips 66 Petroleum Co. He was a member of Gardner Street Church of Christ. He was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Army.

He married Ida Davis Dec. 28, 1945 in Wheeler.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, J.R. McCown of White Deer, Sidney A. McCown of Wichita Falls; Kenneth R. McCown of Borger; a sister, Anita Mae Roger of Mangum, Okla.; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren

Casketbearers will be Jerry McCown, Robert MCown [sic], Kenny McCown, and Jason McCown.

BORGER - Ida Mae McCown, 79, died Thursday, Nov. 25, 2004, in Amarillo.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Church of Christ with Richard Kasko officiating. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors.

Mrs. McCown was born Feb. 17, 1925, in Beckham County, Okla. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include two sons, Kenneth R. McCown of Borger and Sidney A. McCown of Wichita Falls; a sister, Moleta Fae Stamps of Little Rock, Ark.; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Harrington Cancer Center, 1500 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo, TX 79106 or to BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79105.
