BORGER — Clarence G. McGehee, 93, of Borger died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2014.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Church of Christ of Borger with Carroll Thomason and Richard Kasko officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Clarence was born July 25, 1921, in Seminole, Okla., to Carl and Myrtle Hodges McGehee. He married Lovonia Downs on July 3, 1940, in Pottawatomie, Okla.
Clarence had been a resident of Borger for the past 64 years. He was a member of Church of Christ of Borger, also serving as an elder of the Second and Deahl Church of Christ and Gardner St. Church of Christ for 32 years. He proudly served his country in the Army in World War II.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Micah Dwain McGehee, in 2006; three brothers and a sister.
Survivors include his wife, Lovonia; a son, Dwain and wife Marsha of Southfork, Colo.; a daughter, Jonice Thomason and husband Carrol of Amarillo; three brothers, Joe McGehee of Garber, Okla., DeLoyd McGehee of Amarillo and Jerry McGehee of Seminole, Okla.; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Lovonia Molly McGehee
September 4, 1923 - June 28, 2016
Lovonia Molly McGehee, 92, died Tuesday, June 28, 2016 in Borger. Memorial service will be at the Minton Memorial Chapel at 9:30 a.m. Friday, July 1, with Carroll Thomason officiating. Graveside service will be private under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors. There will be a visitation with the family at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5-7 p.m.
Lovonia was born September 4, 1923 in Chickelah, Arkansas to John William and Maybelle (Jones) Downs. She moved to Borger in 1947 from Oklahoma. Lovonia lived in Phillips for 38 years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ where she taught 3rd grade Sunday School for 26 years. Lovonia married her high school sweetheart, Clarence McGehee, on July 3, 1940 in Pottawatomie, Oklahoma.
Survivors include her children, Jonice and Carroll Thomason of Amarillo and Dwain and Marsha McGehee of South Fork, Colorado; grandchildren, Jena Welch, Tricia Stinebaugh, Kris McGehee; great-grandchildren, Ryan Jordan, Alex Jordan, Marc Stinebaugh, Kason McGehee, Addison McGehee, Colton McGehee, Alyzar McGehee; and one great-great-granchild, Xzayvain Mata.
Lovonia was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one grandson, Micah Dwain McGehee, three brothers, and one sister.
