*Obituary John
John A. McLain, 50, suffered a fatal heart attack Monday morning at ten o'clock while working at the Columbian Carbon Plant in Eunice, New Mexico. McLain had been a resident of Borger since 1935 and had been living at the Wescar Camp south of town.

McLain was a member of the First Methodist Church in Borger and the IOOF No. 94, Canton No. 39 and Encampment No. 97.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Betty and Nora Lee; two sons, John E. and Guy A.; two sisters Mrs. T.B. Damron of Woodward, Okla. and Mrs. Paul Taliaferro of Los Animas, Col.; four brothers, H.D. of Lawton, Okla., Preston of Woodward, Okla., Vernon of Buffalo, Okla., and Dale of Sublett, Kansas.

Funeral services will be held at the First Methodist Church in Borger at 2:00 p.m. tomorrow.

Pall bearers will be T.J. Bryant, Lee Arrington, Dewey Marr, L.E. Anderson, Bob Jackson and Bryan Franks.

The grave side rites will be conducted by the Odd Fellows Lodge of Borger. Interment will be at the Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton's Funeral Home.

Cora Eva McLain, 90, Borger, died Tuesday, March 28, 1995 in Golden Plains Community Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Archie Echols, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery by Brown Funeral Directors.

A native of Harper County, Okla., she had been a Borger resident for 59 years. She was a housewife, and member of First United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Allen McLain in 1950; a son, Guy Arvid McLain in 1984; two daughters, Bonnie Rose McLain in 1927; and Nora Lee McLain 1990.

Survivors include a son, John McLain of Borger; a daughter, Betty Winegar of Borger; a sister, Elnova Crisler of Jay, Okla.; 8 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Casketbearers will be Cliff Wilson, George Moffitt, Wayne Butler, Quinton Maxwell, Tim Johnson, and Charles Cooley.
