Larry Allen "Gunny" Tillery, age 66, of Hooks, Texas, died Friday, July 12, 2013 at his home.
Mr. Tillery was born June 24, 1947 in Vernon, Texas and lived in Hooks most of his life.
He was retired from Red River Army Depot and a member of Grace Church in Nash, Texas, the National Rifle Association and the Cypress Slough Hunting Club.
He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in the Vietnam War and the United States Marine Corps Reserve.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Tillery; three daughters and sons-in-law: Tony and Selisa Tillery, Rhonda and Chris Lawley and Tamberlyn and David Bass; two stepsons and stepdaughters-in-law: Scooter and Tammy Campbell, Shane and Jennifer Campbell; one brother: Rick Tillery; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren and a number of other relatives.
Burial will be in Everett Cemetery with military honors.
Married July 14, 1987
