Obituary:
Louise Joan (Schibbelhute) Kahoe passed away on July 1, 2015. She was born on August 8, 1933 on a farm in northwest Ellis County, Oklahoma. The family moved to a farm, five miles southeast of Follett when she was two months old. Louise grew up in her maternal grandparents' home and helped her mother care for them. She attended the Follett School until she was 13 years old and came down with polio. It took around three years to overcome some of the problems caused by the disease.

Louise learned to speak German as baby and was still fluent. She helped her mother and stepfather put out the family weekly Follett Times. She wrote a news column and helped folding and wrapping the papers to send out.

On September 21, 1954, Louise married Eddie Kahoe in the Methodist Parsonage in Clayton, N.M. A year later on September 21, they had a baby girl, Karen Elaine. She was always the light of Louise's life. Louise volunteered to be the room parent for Karen's classes and helped with many school functions. Louise took great pride in her daughter and family.

Louise loved to go fishing and was thrilled to catch an Ocean cat-fish off the shores of Sabine Pass, Texas. She also enjoyed puzzles of all kinds and doing work with plastic canvas. Louise crocheted and sewed and she had a wonderful talent for building doll house rooms with fine details. She had an amazing memory and loved to visit with people.

Proceeding Louise in death were mother and step-father, Elsie and Shorty Skaggs; and her husband Eddie. She is survived by her daughter Karen (Charles) Gorman of Norristown, PA; her grandchildren Carissa Gorman and Brandon Gorman; and many cousins and friends.
