Bennie Taylor, 89, passed away August 6, 2017 in Stillwater Oklahoma. Bennie Jane was born November 6, 1927, in Paducah Texas; the youngest of 6 children of Benjamin and Ealie Tippen. She attended Paducah schools and later attended Texas Christian University. She married Roger Wood Taylor in June of 1948 and together they had one daughter Donna Jane (Rhinehart). Bennie enjoyed her role as stay-at-home mom and being involved in any and all activities that involved her daughter, friends, and community. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church, Paducah Women’s Golf Association, Girl Scout Leader, PTA, and many other local organizations. She enjoyed dancing, gardening, and social events. At the age of 81, she left Paducah to move to Stillwater, Oklahoma to be close to family. She enjoyed being a member of the Stillwater Newcomer’s Club and the Eagle Summit neighborhood. She later moved to Golden Oaks Village where she once again made many friends and was an active participant in their events. She is proceeded in death by her parents, 5 siblings, and her husband Roger. Survivors include her daughter Donna and husband Russ Rhinehart of Stillwater, OK, grandsons Michael and wife Emily Walling of Ft. Worth TX., Todd and wife Lisha Walling of Nashville TN, and Marc and wife Carrie Walling of Stillwater, OK. Other survivors include her 6 great-grandchildren Kennedy, Parker, Conor, Ashton, Kain, and Landon Walling. The family would like to thank Dr. Woody Jenkins and the nurses and staff at Stillwater Medical center and the nurses and staff of Golden Oaks for the love and care they gave to her. Services will be held 2:00 P.M. at The First United Methodist Church in Paducah, TX. Friday, August 11th. Family visitation will be 12:00 to 1:30 prior to the service, at the Zapata Funeral Home in Paducah. She will be interred in the Paducah Garden of Memories. Memorials may be made to the Paducah Cemetery Association or The First United Methodist Church of Paducah.
