Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia Mae Parker, 64, 716 N. Harvey, were conducted Monday afternoon at 4 p.m. at the Church of Christ. Thomas McDonald, pastor, officiated.
Mrs. Parker died at 8 p.m. Saturday at the home of her son, Fred M. Parker, 3102 Ave. B, Phillips, following a sudden illness.
In addition to Mr. Parker, she is survived by another son, Chester Earl Parker of Seminole, Okla.; a brother, John Baker of Parkersburg, W.Va.; and seven sisters, Mrs. Effie Allen of Parkersburg, Mrs. Emma Ball of Wheeling, W.Va., Mrs. Lillie Holman and Miss Mary Baker, both of Akron, Ohio, Mrs. Leo Bostaph and Mrs. Leona Longstreth, both of Rinard Mills, Ohio, and Mrs. Rosie White of Wagoner, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Parker had lived in Borger since early in 1927. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Active casket bearers included B.B. Powers, P.D. Williamson, Martin Savage, Roy Turner, Morris Graves and George Morris. Honorary pall bearers were A.W. Jones, Claude Weatherford, Lacey Borger, Glenn Wells, Jim Sampson, W.L. Drennan and B.G. Marcus.
Interment was in Highland Park cemetery under the direction of Minton funeral home.
