*Obituary
Mrs. Sammie [sic] Mae Phillips, 310 Eleventh street, died in a Lubbock hospital this morning, following a lingering illness.
She is survived by four daughters and two sons, namely Eleandor, Olive, Vivian, Joy, J.B. and Gerald, all of whom live here; and her mother, Mrs. Annie Hudgins, also of Borger. A sister, Mrs. Adolph Powers, also survives.
Born in Bienville Parish, La., Mrs. Pihllips [sic] was 38.
The body is at Carver Funeral Chapel, pending arrangements.
