Samuel Albert Phillips
BORGER (Staff) - Funeral services for Samuel Albert Phillips, 52, son of Mrs. Lois Phillips of Pampa, were held today at Minton Memorial Chapel with burial in Highland Park Cemetery directed by Minton Mortuary.
Members of the Adobe Walls Masonic Lodge No. 1355 conducted services.
Mr. Phillips, died Friday in John Wesley Hospital in Los Angeles, Calif.
He was a Borger resident 30 years before moving to California 11 years ago. A resident of Alta Loma, Calif.; he was married in 1943, in Borger. He was a ember of Adobe Walls Masonic Lodge in Borger and of the Al Malaikah Shrine Temple in San Bernadino, Calif.
Survivors are his widow, Lilly; one daughter, Mrs. Jeane Hall of Upland, Calif.; two sons, Samuel F., of Fontana, Calif., and Ronald M., of Ontario, Calif.; his mother, Mrs. Lois Phillips of Pampa; six brothers, Douglas of Pampa, J.R. of Newberry Park, Calif., Dan of Dallas, Art of Bay St. Louis, Miss., Roy of West Columbia and Billy, serving with the Army in Germany; three sisters, Mrs. Louise Bennett of Rapid iCty [sic], S.D., Mrs. Audrey Cory and Mrs. Effie Richardson, both of Pampa, and three grandchildren.
