Bettie was born on February 13, 1854 in Texas.
She was the wife of Mr. Melton with whom she had a son named William "Willie" Melton.
Bettie was also the wife of Sandy Brown with whom she had a son named Thomas Brown.
Mrs. Brown died March 13, 1891 at the age of 37 in Walker County, Texas.
