Dodson "Dod" Upchurch was born on October 16, 1883 in Madison County, Texas to Jesse Myles Upchurch and Lucy Ann McWhorter.
He was the husband of Lela Mae Griffin. They married in Madison County, Texas in 1906. From this union they had 3 sons and 1 daughter.
Mr. Upchurch died on October 22, 1936 in Bedias, Grimes County, Texas at the age of 53. He preceded his wife in death by 33 years.
