*Obituary
Thomas O. Poole, Sr., 79, of 1213 Thompson, a resident of Borger since 1963, died at 4:15 a.m. Saturday in High Plains Baptist Hospital in Amarillo.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Wesley United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mike Struve, pastor, officiating and Herschel Homer, pastor of St. Paul's Methodist Church in Amarillo, assisting.
Interment will be in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Directors.
Mr. Poole was a retired employee of Phillips Petroleum Co. in the Production Department. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, the Friendly Sunday School Class, the Shidler Masonic Lodge No. 509 in Shidler, Okla., and was a member and past patron of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 417 in Shidler, Okla. He was a 32nd degree Mason.
Survivors include his wife, Jewel Taylor Poole; four sons, Morris M. of Borger, M.T. "Bud" of Smackover, Ark., Bill R. and Thomas Oyn [sic] Jr. both of Enid, Okla.; one daughter, Mrs. Virginia Werther of Borger; one sister, Mrs. Kathleen Boyd of El Dorado, Ark.; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and two nieces.
Masonic graveside services will be under the auspices of Adobe Walls Masonic Lodge No. 1355.
Pallbearers will be Roscoe Deason, K.C. Messenger, James Roberts, Waite McNulty, Lloyd Cox, and Bill Harder.
Honorary pallbearers will be Buford Clark, James Husperger, James Calhoun, Henry Marshall, and Ray Miller.
Masons are asked to meet at the Adobe Walls Masonic Hall at 10 a.m. Tuesday to participate in the services.
