Last rites for John Ray, 47, were held at the Carver Funeral chapel at two o'clock Wednesday afternoon by Rev. J.A. Thomas.

Interment was in Highland cemetery.

Ray had lived in Borger since 1926 and had been engaged in the barber business. He had been secretary of the barbers' union for several years.

After an illness of several weeks, death came late Monday afternoon.

The deceased is survived by his wife and three sons, Harold Ray of Tulsa, Okla.; Raymond and Warren Ray of Pryor, Okla.; a sister, Mrs. Lorna Hollman, Locust Grove, Okla.; his father, George Ray, and a brother, Charles Ray in New Mexico.

Pallbearers were Jack Gordy, E.B. Grubbs, Vic Livingstone, Jack Dillon, Homer West and J.B. Hollingsworth.
