Purvy E. Reams, 78, 1316 S. Florida, died Thursday in Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo.
A retired pumper with J. M. Huber Corp., he was a native of Coleman County, and a Borger resident for 53 years.
He was a member of Bible Baptist Church.
He is survived by one son, Weldon of Borger; one daughter, Cleo Belle McClellan of Borger; one brother, Frank Reams of Amarillo; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Essie Virginia Reams in 1974.
Funeral services are pending with Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Essie Virginia Reams, 67, of 712 Derr, are pending with Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Reams, a resident of Borger since 1935, died at 9:30 p.m. Sunday in North Plains Hospital.
Survivors include her husband, P.E. of the home; a son, Weldon Reams of Borger; a daughter, Mrs. J. L. McClellan of Phillips; her mother, Mrs. Margie B. Lanham of Coleman; four brothers, two sisters and four grandchildren.
