Funeral services for Elbert D. Reed Sr., 1225 Thompson, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the First Methodist church at Claude.

Mr. Reed, 66, died Sunday in North Plains hospital after a heart attack two weeks ago. He had lived here three years and was associated with the Reed and Reck locker and cold storage company.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Edith Reed; two daughters, Mrs. H.O. Reck, Borger and Miss Hazel Reed, Borger; six sons, Arthur, Harry, Harold and Thomas Reed, all of San Angelo, Joe A. and E.D. Reed Jr., both of Borger.

Other survivors include one sister, Mrs. Ada Norman, San Angelo; two brothers, Bennett and Harry Reed, both of Carlsbad, Tex., and 20 grandchildren.

The Rev. N.J . Starnes, pastor of the Borger Wesley Methodist church, will officiate, assisted by the Rev. W.R. Beaird, Methodist pastor at Claude. Burial will be in the Claude cemetery. *See note below*

Casket bearers will be Roy Stephenson; Joe Stephenson; Sammie Stephenson; Lee Goodin; Ernest Powell; Jimmie Osborn; E.D. Tate, and Harold Susan.

Funeral services for Mrs. Edith Ellen Reed, 75, are scheduled at 3 p.m. Saturday from Wesley Methodist Church where she was a member.

The Rev. Lyman Paul Wood, pastor, will officiate. Interment will be in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Mortuary.

Casketbearers and honorary casketbearers will be the grandsons.

Mrs. Reed died Thursday at North Plains Hospital. Her home was at 1225 Thompson.

Surviving are six sons, Joe and Harold of Borger, Arthur of Spearman, Harry and E.D. of San Angelo, and Thomas of Houston; two daughters, Mrs. Vera Reck and Miss Hazel Reed, both of Borger.

Also two sisters, Mrs. Stella Goad, Mrs. Mary Culver, Claude; four brothers, Arthur, C.C., Willie and Fred Stephenson, all of Claude; 20 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
