*Obituary
Carol Louise Reynolds, one and one-half month old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dorman Reynolds of Borger, died at an Amarillo hospital Thursday morning.

Besides the parents, survivors include the paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Horace Reynolds of Fairbanks, Alaska; and the maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Williams of Borger.

Graveside rites were to be conducted at Highland Park Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. today. Interment was to be under the direction of the Blackburn-Shaw-Brown funeral home of Borger.

Constable Fred Compton, under extenuating circumstances, relented last night and allowed the child's mother to keep an old Indian tradition. Mrs. Reynolds was in the Hutchinson county jail at Stinnett on a charge of attempted robbery with a pistol at the time of the baby's death.

In accordance with Indian tradition, the Indian mother must hold a wake for her dead. Mrs. Reynolds was removed from the county jail and, under guard, was allowed to sit with her child through the hours of the night.

Charges against the nineteen-year-old Indian woman were filed Saturday in connection with the alleged attempted robbery of a Borger cab driver Saturday night.

Compton said this morning that he would personally escort Mrs. Reynolds to the funeral this afternoon.
