On Thursday, April 19, 1956, Rafaela De Cisneros, a passenger in a car headed West on Pecan Avenue (FM495) collided with a Southern Pacific train headed South at the intersection of Pecan Avenue and 18th Street in McAllen, Texas.

Also in the car with Mrs. Cisneros was the driver, her Son-In-Law, Frank B. Harms who died on Friday, April 20, 1956 and passenger Alfredo Ramirez who died on arrival at McAllen Municipal Hospital on Thursday.

Mrs. Cisneros is survived by her husband, Rafael Cisneros: a son, Silvestre Cisneros, four daughters, Mrs. Tomasita Canales, Mrs. Catalina Rios, Mrs. Expecatcion Harms, widowed by the accident and Mrs. Emma Harms, all of McAllen Texas.

Funeral Mass was conducted on Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in McAllen by the Rev. Father Tom Conlin. The body lay in state at her home at 2216 Erie Ave. Buriel followed at the Piedad Cemetery in McAllen.
