BORGER - Servando Salinas, 79, died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2006.

Rosary will be said at 6 p.m. today in Brown Funeral Directors Chapel of the Fountains. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday in St. John's Catholic Church with the Rev. Juan Carlos Barragan officiating. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery.

Mr. Salinas was born March 3, 1927, in Yorktown. He was a retired greens keeper from Phillips Golf Course.

Survivors include his wife, Bertha Salinas; four sons, Junior Salinas of Mansfield, James Salinas of Hereford, Tony Salinas of Prospect and Sammy Salinas of Borger; two daughters, Bertha Trevino of Amarillo and Gloria Alvarez of Seagraves; six sisters, Manuela Guerrero of Columbia, La., Aurora Guiterrez of Fresno, Calif., Sofia Soto and Lydia Armijo, both of Edinberg, Rebecca Caudillo of Salem, Ore., and Sara Ortiz of Sanger, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Odyssey Heath Care, 6900 W. Interstate 40, Suite 150, Amarillo, TX 79106.

Surrounded by her loving family, Bertha Salinas passed away at her home Tuesday May 26, 2015.

Mrs. Salinas was born August 14, 1934 at Dilley, Texas to Isabel and Juanita (Luna) Garza. She was married to Servando Salinas, Sr. until his passing in 2006.

Mrs. Salinas was a member of St. Johns Catholic Church at Borger. She loved the Lord and firmly believed in the power of prayer. In her younger years she enjoyed playing golf with her friends. Her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were her greatest joy.

She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents and a brother Isabel Garza, Jr.

She is survived by 4 sons: James Salinas and wife Connie of Hereford, TX , Sammy Salinas of Borger, TX, Servando Salinas Jr. and wife Michele of Mansfield, TX , and Tony Salinas and wife Brenda of Prospect, KY ; 2 daughters: Bertha Trevino and husband Roldan of Amarillo, TX, and Gloria Alvarez; and husband Joe of Seagraves, TX 3 sisters: Alice Cavazos of Seagraves, TX , Aurora Jeter of Lovington, NM , Betty Galvan of Seminole, TX and 15 grandchildren and 21 great grand children.

Rosary will be held Friday May 29, 2015 at 7PM at Brown's Chapel of the Fountains. Funeral Mass will be Saturday May 30, 2015 at 10:00AM at St. Johns Catholic Church. Burial to follow at Highland Park Cemetery.

The family will be staying at 118 Blommaert Street, Borger.
