Elizabeth L. "Eliza" Dupree was born on December 7, 1844 to William Blakely (1803-1850) and Mary J. Andrews in Mississippi.

She is the sister of the following known siblings:
Seborn Blakley (born in 1834)
Mary Ann Blakley (born in 1836)
Nancy Blakley (born in 1837)
Caroline Blakley Tubbs (1841-1900)
John W Blakley (born in 1848)

In 1865, in Montgomery County, Texas, Eliza married Young William Dupree. (N.E.J. listed on Marriage Certificate as Bride - Could mean Nancy Elizabeth Jane, which is likely her official birth name)

From this union they had the following known children:
Margaret "Maggie" Dupree Bernard (1867–1942)
John W Dupree (born abt. 1872)
Sarah E. "Sallie/Sadie" Dupree Dilley (1874-1939)
Ebenezer L. Dupree (1877–1936)
Mollie "Ida" Dupree Roberts (1881-1943)

Mrs. Dupree died on July 19, 1900 at the age of 55 in Harris or Montgomery County, Texas. She preceded her husband in death by 4 years.

Eliza is buried with her husband and her two children Sarah and Ebenezer at Brookside Memorial Park in Houston, Harris County, Texas next to the old Chapel of the Chimes.
