Services for Mike Nelson Shearon, 65, of 1105 Lindsey, will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday in Monton [sic] Memorial Chapel.

Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors.

Mr. Shearon died at 5:12 a.m. Sunday in North Plains Hospital.

A steam fitter at Local 231, Mr. Shearon was born in Cabin Creek, West Virginia. He had been a Borger resident for 44 years. He was a member of the Cathloic [sic] Church.

Mr. Shearon is survived by his wife, Florence; one daughter, Mrs. Sandra Allen of Borger; one son, Mike of San Diego, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Edna Schlesinger of Wichita, Kan.; and five grandchildren.

The family will be at 1514 Lancelot.

Memorials may be made to the Heart Association.

Pallbearers will be Bill Foster, Bob Flood, Blaine Scott, Ray Sosebee, Gene Sions and W.D. Nicholas.

Florence O Shearon
October 23, 1915 - March 20, 2014

Florence Shearon, formerly of Borger, TX went to be with the Lord on March 20, 2014 after a seven month stay in a continuing care facility in Dunedin, FL. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Mike Shearon and is survived by her daughter, Sandra Esely of Dunedin, FL, son, Mike Shearon and daughter-in-law Nancy Shearon of San Diego, CA. She is also survived by five granddaughters, nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was a long time member of the First Christian Church of Borger and looked forward to their newsletter until her passing.

Prior to living in the care facility Florence lived with her daughter “Sandy” for the last twelve years. Before making the move from Texas to Florida she was an avid traveler who had been virtually around the world. She loved to visit her family in California and spoke often of how much she loved the beautiful beaches there.

She will be interred beside her husband in Highland Park Cemetery, Borger, TX.
