George Smith, Jr., 81, died Sunday, Jan. 3, at her home in Borger.
Services are pending with Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors.
Mr. Smith was born in Mt. Pleasant. He had been a Borger resident since 1957, having moved from Pampa. He married Ola Bell Pemberton May 28, 1938, in Eastland.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a self-employed machinist.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Jerrall Smith, Jr., in 1985.
Survivors include his wife, Ola Belle Smith of the home; two sons, Jerrall D. Smith of Borger and Stanley W. Smith of Amarillo; one daughter, Becky Weber of Borger; one sister, Bessie McDaris of Breckenridge; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
