Benito Garcia Sr., age 88, went to be with our Lord on July 10, 2008, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital. He was born in General Teran, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Juan and Bernarda Garcia.
He was preceded in death by his parents Juan and Bernarda Garcia; his wife, Augustina Garcia; and his daughter, Gloria Huerta.
He is survived by his loving children, Josefina (Andres) Tijerina of McAllen, Maria de la Luz (Jorge) Casarez of Reynosa, Blanca Delia Garcia of Mission, Javier (Josefina) Garcia of San Juan, Joel Garcia of McAllen, Juan R. Garcia of McAllen, Benito (Marta) Garcia Jr. of McAllen and Leonel Garcia of Atlanta, Georgia; and his sister, Margarita Garcia. He is also survived by 29 grandchildren; and 42 great grandchildren.
