BORGER - Funeral services for Ford Foster Spillman, 50, of 400 Empire, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Ed Brown's Chapel of the Fountains. The Rev. Amos Meador, pastor of the First Church of the Nazarene, will officiate.

Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery.

Mr. Spillman, a Borger resident 15 years, died Wednesday following a heart attack at the Natural Gas Pipeline camp west of Dumas.

Born in Ruskin, Neb., he was employed by Claude Robinson Trucking Contractors.

Survivors include his wife, Viola, two daughters, two sons and his mother.

Viola Spillman, 80, died Thursday, July 4, 2002, at the Bartlesville Care Center.

Graveside services and burial were held Monday, July 8 at Highland Park Cemetery in Borger with Pastor Leonard Forsythe of Bible Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home.

Mrs. Spillman was born on Nov. 25, 1921, to Roger and Bettie Pochan [sic], in Rushville, Ne. She received her education in Rushville. Viola married Ford Foster "Pete" Spillman on Sept. 24, 1939, in Dawes County, Ne. and moved to Borger in 1950. Viola moved to Bartlesville in 1994, where she was a avid homemaker. Mom loved and thanked God for blessing her life. She was very kind, compassionate and loving towards her family and others. She will be greatly missed.

Viola was preceded in death by her husband, Pete, three brothers, Willie "Bud", George, and Marvin Pochan [sic] and two sisters, Nellie Johnson and Mary Thompson.

Survivors include four children and their spouses, James and Vurna Spillman of El Paso; Phyllis June and Ben Hastings of Abilene, Judy and Bobby Trammell of Borger and Jerrie and Melissa Spillman of Dewey, Okla.; eleven grandchildren 10 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Lorraine Spillman of Wichita, Kan.; a sister-in-law, Joan Pochon of DeSoto, Mo.; a brother-in-law, Forrest "Brick" Thompson and numerous nieces and nephews.
