Services for Dr. M.M. Stephens were at 11 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Pete Krugman, pastor, officiating.

Burial was in Highland Park Cemetery by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors.

Survivors include one son, John of Amarillo; one daughter, Mrs. Gloria Hampton of Canyon; one brother, Boyd of Borger; five sisters, Mrs. H.A. Pennal and Mrs. Ballard Caffey both of Hawkins, Mrs. Norman Ray of Longview, Mrs. Lela Nagle and Mrs. C.A. Andrews, both of Gilmer; and four grandchildren.

Mrs. M.M. Stephens, wife of Dr. M.M. Stephens of 514 West Roosevelt, died at 5:45 yesterday afternoon at Baylor Hospital in Dallas after a lingering illness. Dr. Stephens was at her bedside.

She was admitted to the hospital late last month.

Mrs. Stephens was the former Louise Warren of Plainview, where she received her education at Plainview High School and Wayland College.

She was librarian at Pampa High School until she married Dr. Stephens about seven years ago.

Mrs. Stephens was a member of the Borger Music Club and the Borger Medical Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband and three children, Milton, John and Gloria; her mother, Mrs. B. H. Warren, head of the English department at Wayland College, Plainview, and three sisters and one brother.

A.M. Minton, of Minton Funeral Home, left this morning for Dallas to return the body to Borger by air. The funeral will be held sometime tomorrow.
