Cora Sue Steward
March 29, 1939 - January 11, 2014
Cora Steward, 74, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2014.
Funeral service will be held 11 am Tuesday, January 14, 2014 in the Minton Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Cora was born March 29, 1939 in Lariat, Texas to Cecil and Myrtle Atchley. She grew up in Lariat and attended Farwell High School where she was a trombone player in the band, a twirler and a basketball player. After a long career she retired from Perryton National Bank. Cora was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Rose Cassady and Wilma Mooneyham.
Survivors include her children, Steve Lesly and his wife, Karie of Fritch; daughter, Cindy Sibley and her husband, Kenneth of Borger; grandchildren, Misty Lloyd, Jarrett Lesly, Deri Ames, Lacey Mehojah, Logan Link, Beau Link, Audrey Schroeder, Derrick Fanning, Leslie Sibley; 14 great grandchildren ,one due to arrive in August and one due to arrive in June; sister, Shirley Calaway and her husband, Bobby of Bovine; and a host of extended family.
