Funeral services for Johnny Swaffar, 61, are pending with Minton Mortuary. Swaffar was pronounced dead on arrival at 10:05 a.m. today at North Plains Hospital. He was stricken with an apparent heart attack at his home, 318 Veta.
A Borger resident since 1926, Swaffar was employed by Cox & Sons of Borger. He was a World War II veteran, and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Surviving are his wife, Nellie; stepson, Tommy Cox of California; two brothers, Alford and Doc, both of Borger; two sisters, Mrs. Eva Tannehill of Borger, Mrs. Effie Crawford, Hillsboro, Ore.; and two grandchildren.
