Mary Ethel Parker was born on January 17, 1907 to William Travis Park and Clara Alice Mae Johnson in Liverpool, Brazoria County, Texas.
She is the sister of Lucille Parker McAdams (1904–1951), Lillian Pauline Parker Plaster (1909–1996),
Nona Mae Parker Felts (1912–1992), William Travis Parker (1914–1970), Minnie Ola Parker Plaster (1918-
1987), William Ernest Parker (1921-1993) and James G. "Jim" Parker.
Ethel married Johnnie Leroy Wooten (1905-1997). They are the parents of Travis Leroy Wooten (1925–1974) and Dorothy Mae Wooten Komar (1932–2012).
Mrs. Wooten died on December 21, 1962 in Houston, Harris County, Texas at the age of 55. She is buried at Rosewood Memorial Park in Humble, Texas with her husband, daughter and son. She preceded her husband in death by 35 years.
