Mary Thiele was born on November 20, 1894 in Texas to Charles Joseph Thiele and Bertha Augusta Schieffer.
She is the sister of Albert Ferdinand Theile, Ida May Thiele Becker, Bertha Thiele Achilles, Charles Joseph Thiele, Annie Louise Thiele Freund and Edna Ottilie Thiele Wideman.
Miss Thiele married John Callan in 1912. They are the parents of Jo Anne Callan Polk, Edna Louise Callan Crews, John Francis Callan Jr. and Dorothy M. Callan Fincher.
Mrs. Callan died on April 29, 1981 at the age of 86 in Austin, Travis County, Texas.
