Margaret Mae "Maggie" Hickman was born on October 22, 1914 to Willie Henry Hickman and Margaret Elvira Preece at Williamson County, Texas.
She is the sister of Clarence Wayne Hickman (1903–2003), Dorothy Catherine Hickman Walker (1905–1983),
Nolan Ervy Hickman (1907–1986), Oscar H. Hickman
(1909–1971), William Andrew Hickman (1913-1987).
Margaret married Uel Ephriam Toungate in 1935 at Travis County, Texas. They are the parents of
Margaret Laverne Toungate (1939–1954, Normal Uel Toungate and Ima Sue Toungate Keith (1941–2020).
Mrs. Toungate died on September 14, 2005 at Austin, Travis County, Texas at the age of 90.
