Lawrence M. Tubbs, 64, died at 6:30 a.m. Saturday at his home at 1004 E. Sixth. He had been a resident of Borger for the past 11 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Laura Tubbs; one daughter, Mrs. Marie Russell of Lewiston, Idaho; five sons, Ben, Thad, Barney of Borger, R.V. of Big Springs, and C.L. of Roswell, N.M.; five sisters; Mrs. Dosha Abbott of Bernice, La., Mrs. Mat Lois Holloway of Bastrop, La., Mrs. Ione Grafton of Jennings, La.; Mrs. Hommie Black of Junction City, Ark., Mrs. Eugene Kelly of Bastrop, La.; one brother, Lafe of New Orleans; and 11 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dan Cameron officiating. Burial will be in the Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Pete Isom, Jim Day, Cliff Cornett, Wallace Smith, Cecil Temple, and Henry Leach.

Laura Jane Tubbs, 91, Borger Nursing Home died, Saturday, May 8, 1993 in the nursing home.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Gregg Simmons, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

A native of Saran, La., she had been a Borger resident for 46 years. She was a housewife and a member of First Baptist Church where she worked in the nursery.

Survivors include three sons, Thad Tubbs and Barney Tubbs, both of Borger; and Charles Tubbs of Roswell, N.M.; three sisters, Dora Nelson of Junction, La.; Jessie Bryan of Bernice, La.; and Louise Bishop of Borger; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

The family will be at 1219 Minnesota in Borger.
