Mary Elizabeth Hall was born in Bedias, Grimes County, Texas to Lawrence L. Hall and Unity Easter Stone on March 29, 1886.

She is the sister of:
- William Woodson Hall (1884–1974)
- Ernest Aaron Hall (1887–1887)
- Birdie Celestial Hall (1889–1892)
- Flora L. Hall (1892–1969)
- Lee Roy Washington Hall (1894–1969)
- Willis Gary Hall (1896–1974)
- John Butler Hall (1897-1975)

Between 1905 and 1910, she married Pliny Plaster. They had the following known children:
- Leona Elizabeth Plaster McGinty (1910–1984)
- William Theron "Boots" Plaster (1912–1993)
- Carlos Buford Plaster (1913–1972)
- Woodrow Plaster (1918–1965)
- McAdoo Plaster (1918-1992)

Mrs. Plaster preceded her husband in death by 15 years. She died on January 20, 1955 at the age of 68 in Bedias, Grimes County, Texas. Mary Elizabeth is buried with her husband at Bedias Methodist Cemetery in Bedias, Texas. Her cause of death was Cardiac Asthma/Myocardial Failure.
