Services for Byron V. Wallis, 83, of 1504 Yows, who died at 12:50 p.m. Tuesday in Marlin, Tex., are pending with Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors.

A retired Phillips Petroleum Co. employee, Mr. Wallis was a pioneer Borger resident having lived here since 1926. He was a native of Comanche County.

Mr. Wallis was a World War I veteran and a member of the First Baptist Church.

Survivors are his wife, Addie; five sons, Frederick of Bryan, Billy of Borger, Herman of Boerne, William of San Antonio, and Ronald of Palestine; one daughter, Mrs. Juanita W. Jones of Palestine; three sisters, Stella Garst of Plano, Ora Warren of Abilene, and Alice Peevy of Phoenix, Ariz.; two brothers, Thearon of Brownwood, and Travis of Borger; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Addie Wallis, 81, of 1316 Florida, died Tuesday morning in Borger Nursing Center.

A housewife, she was a native of Comanche, Texas, and a Borger resident for 60 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

She is survived by five sons, Eugene of Borger; Fred of Hobbs, N.M.; Ron, Palestine; Herman, Fredericksburg; and W.E. , San Antonio; one daughter, Juanita Jones, Palestine; 13 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Byron Wallis.

Funeral services are pending with Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Home.
