Services for Walter Clifford Watson, 80, of 1204 Baker, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Gardner Street Church of Christ with Mr. Darnell Boyd, minister and Mr. Joe Winnett, minister of the Johnson Park Church of Christ, officiating.

Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors.

A native of Denver, Okla., he had been a Borger resident for 39 years. He was an Army veteran and member of the Gardner Street Church of Christ.

He was a retired operator at the Plains Plant.

Survivors include his wife, Clara; one daughter, Mrs. Johnny "Juanita" Faulkner of Borger; two sisters, Beulah Baskin and Myrtle Williams, both of Clarksville, Ark.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be C.C. Leonard, Wayne Locke, Clarence McGeehee, Herman Coston, Garland Kite, and James Casida.

The family is staying at 1016 N. Hedgecoke.

Clara Mae Watson, 91, of Borger, died Tuesday, July 23, 1996 at Golden Plains Community Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Church of Christ at Borger with Mr. Gary Bodine, Evangelistic Outreach Minister of the church, officiating. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Watson was born in Johnson Co., Ark., and had been a resident of Borger for 54 years. She was a member of the Gardner Street Church of Christ. She was a homemaker.

She married Walter Watson on Dec. 6, 1927 in Harmony, Ark. He preceded her in death in 1983.

Survivors include her daughter, Juanita Faulkner, of Borger; sister, Eva Sosebee, of Borger; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
