Funeral services for Walter William Weddington, 90, were held at 2 p.m. today in the First Christian Church with Dr. Kenneth Jones Sr., pastor, officiating.
Interment followed in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Simpson Funeral Home of Borger.
Weddington died at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday in Magic Plains Nursing Home.
He was born Nov. 27, 1885 in Henrietta and was a pioneer resident of Borger. He was an employee of Southwestern Public Service Co. from 1926 until 1953 when he retired as a foreman. He was member of the First Christian Church.
Survivors include four sons, Rodney and Walter R., both of Borger, Coleman of Fort Worth and Whitney of Omaha, Neb.; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Hagy of Gem City, Colo. and Mrs. Mable Fry of Fort Sumner, Colo.; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Casketbearers were Barney Shaw, W.O. Seymour, J.B. Hunt, Don Rumold, Bob Dietz and Don Ormson.

Funeral services for Mrs. Vessie M. Weddington, will be at 2 p.m. Friday from the First Christian Church with the Rev. Edgar Irvine, pastor of the Bunavista United Methodist Church officiating with Russell Brammer, youth minister, of the First Christian Church assisting.
Interment will be in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Simpson Funeral Home of Borger.
Mrs. Weddington, of 415 Jackson, died at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday at North Plains Hospital.
A pioneer resident of the area since 1928, she was widely known as a piano teacher instructing many of the area youth. She also played the piano for many civic and social organizations.
Mrs. Weddington, who was born Jan. 1, 1885 in Joplin, Mo., was a member of Rebekah Lodge, the Royal Neighbors and the First Christian Church.
She is survived by her husband, Walter W. of the home; four sons, Rodney R. and W.R. of Borger, Coleman of Ft. Worth, and Whitney of Omaha, Neb.; one niece, Mrs. Elberta Powell of Nocona, Tex., and nine grandchildren.
Casketbearers will be W.O. Seymour, Don Rumond, Barney Shaw, Jack Burke, R.E. Haynes Jr. and Don Ormson.
