Augusta Eliza Barber was born in Barber's Hill, TX. and was the daughter of Joseph Addison Barber and Emaline Francis Jackson. She was married on June 30, 1887 in Aransas Co., TX. to John Edward Barber, son of John Albert Barber and Elizabeth "Betsy" Kokernot.
