Borger Grocery Store Owner, Former local Resident, Dies
James C. Wilbanks, about 43, Borger grocery store owner, died suddenly Saturday morning of a heart attack at his home in Borger.
Mr. Wilbanks was the son of Mrs. Sarah Wilbanks, 1908 Dixie drive, Lubbock.
Survivors in addition to his mother, include: His wife, a daughter, Ruth, and son, Charles, all of Borger; three sisters, Misses Nell and Catherine Wilbanks and Mrs. Dorothy Moore, all of Lubbock; two brothers, Osa of Lubbock and Byron of Houston.
Mr. Wilbanks formerly resided in Lubbock. He had been a resident of Borger for the past 25 years.

Funeral services for Ruth Wilbanks, 84, Borger, will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Brown's Chapel of the Fountains with the Rev. Andy Dietz, and Mr. Owen Smith officiating.
Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery by Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Wilbanks died Thursday, May 23, 1991 in her home.
A native of Boyd, she had been a Borger resident for 62 years. She was a retired school teacher and member of First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Wilbanks in 1948.
Survivors include one son, Charles Wilbanks of Arlington; one daughter, Ruth Ann Smith of Littleton, Colo., nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
