Leonard Williams, Jr.
November 18, 1932 - February 7, 2015
Leonard Williams, Jr., 82, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2015.
Funeral service will be held 2 pm Wednesday, February 11, 2015 in the Minton Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Leonard was born November 18, 1932 in Bastrop, Texas. He as a member of Jerusalem Church of God in Christ. Mr. Williams was the first professional black butler in Borger. Leonard enjoyed buying gadgets and in turn giving them away. He loved music and picking up cans.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Julia Bird Williams.
Survivors include his very special friend, Sekethia Cole; pastor and friend, Henry Williams; friend, Bertha Walker; his church family; and his dear neighbors.

Julia Bird Williams, 96, of Borger died Sunday, December 30, 2012.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at the New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ with Lindell Brown and Pastor Harry Williams presiding. Interment will be at the Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors.
Julia is preceded in death by her parents; and Aunt Ruth Waites.
Julia was born in Bastrop, Texas, to O.T. and Maggie (Waites) Perkins on Feb. 7, 1916. She worked very hard as church secretary and a Sunday school teacher at the New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ. Julia was very strong and independent.
Julia is survived by her son Leonard Williams, Jr. of Borger.
