Funeral services for Burl Willis, 64, resident of Borger and Phillips for 44 years, are at 10 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Phillips, with the pastor, the Rev. John Street, officiating.
Interment in Highland Park Cemetery will be directed by Ed Brown and Sons, Funeral Directors.
A retired employee of Phillips Petroleum Co., Willis was born in Salem, W.Va. He was a member of the Isom Masonic Lodge 1242, and was a deacon of the Phillips Church. He died Sunday afternoon at North Plains Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Surviving are his wife, Jesse of the home, 329 Finklea, Phillips; two sons, William J. Gill of Stinnett; two daughters, Mrs. Ann Miller of Midland, Mrs. Vivian Rust of Bartlesville; brother, Robert of Lafayette, La.; two sisters, Mrs. Marguerite White, of Billingsley, Ala., Mrs. Gladys Stanley of Marysville, Calif., and nine grandchildren.
Casketbearers are Douglas Adkins, Guy Chivers, W.J. Kruckenberg, T.D. Morrow, James Wright, Harold Hawthorne. Honorary casketbearers are deacons of the church.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First Baptist Church, Phillips, for Lottie Moon mission offering, a favorite charity of Mr. Willis.
