Florene Guynes Beaty, 97, died Sunday, August 23, 2015, in Wheeler, Texas. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2015, at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church, Wheeler, Texas, with Rev. Matthew Gary officiating. Cremation and memorial services are under the direction of Peppers Family Funeral Home of Wheeler, Texas.

Florene was born on July 17, 1918, in Wheeler, Texas, to the late Mr. Eugene Dickson [sic]Guynes and Margaret (Rowe) Guynes. She attended Wheeler School. Florene married J.D. Beaty on July 18, 1940, at Sayre, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on November 11, 1991.

Mrs. Beaty worked at Wheeler Parkview Hospital. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Wheeler, Texas, and the Thursday Review Club. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles and crocheting.

Florene was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Survivors include one son, Jerry Beaty and wife, Debbie, of Idalou, Texas; two daughters, Sharon Beaty Helton and husband, Jack, and Lynda Beaty Wallace and husband, Richard, all of Wheeler, Texas; 11 grandchildren, Chad Helton, Cary Helton, Craig Helton, Connie Helton Gonzales, Cathy Helton Lehtinen, Bridgett Wallace, Cassie Wallace Dunnam, Jese Wallace Kreightner, April Beaty Savoy, Megan Beaty Arnold and Zach Beaty; 21 great-grandchildren, Brittany Helton, Hannah Helton, Cramer Helton, Cooper Helton, Ben Helton, Kate Helton, Chase Helton, Jack Johnson, Nash Gonzales, Emma Lehtinen, Sam Lehtinen, Dan Lehtinen, Darrion Dailey, Drake Savoy, Zayden Arnold, Zevgan Arnold, Zemyree Arnold, Lyssa Dunnam, Parker Dunnam, Tate Dunnam and Ele Kreightner; and two great-great-grandchildren, Rylan Flint and Jaxson McCraw.

The family suggests memorials be to the Wheeler Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 672, Wheeler, TX, 79096.
