WHEELER - Donneta Ruth Dollar, 55, died Sunday, June 10, 2007, in Houston.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Wheeler Church of Christ with Dr. Shawn Johnson, minister, officiating. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home of Wheeler.

Donneta Ruth Dollar was born July 15, 1951, in Waynoka, Okla., to Donald and Arlene Failes. She married Buck in 1978, in Lubbock.

Mrs. Dollar lived in Wheeler for 28 years. She graduated from Northwestern OSU in Alva, Okla. She worked for the USDA for 12 years, and at the Wheeler County Appraisal District for seven years. She became a chief appraiser on Jan. 1.

Donneta was a Church of Christ member and taught Sunday school. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and volunteered for many services including Meals on Wheels.

Survivors include her husband, Buck Dollar; two daughters, Stephanie Childress and husband Colby of Sayre, Okla., and Penny Clark and husband Rowdy of Canadian; a son, Ben Dollar of Panhandle; four grandchildren, Brooke and Dalton Childress and Dacey and Rylun Clark; her parents, Don and Arlene Failes of Waynoka; a sister, Debra Redd and husband Dorsey of Cherokee, Okla.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorials be to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, P.O. Box 4072, Pittsfield MA 01202.
