WHEELER - Loyde Goad, 69, died Wednesday, April 26, 2000.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Church of Christ with Cottie Tarbet, of Shamrock, and Bill Morrison, minister, officiating. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home.

Mr. Goad was a lifelong resident of Wheeler and a graduate of Wheeler High School. He had served in the Air Force. He retired from Cabot Corp. He was a rancher.

Survivors include two sisters, Ada Dell Close of Hereford and Sarah Pond of Wheeler; and a brother, Jimmy Zack Goad of Albuquerque, N.M., nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorials be to Ja'Nae Goad Scholarship Fund, in care of the First State Bank of Mobeetie.

The body will be available for viewing 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
