Gaveside [sic] Services For Mrs. Orville [sic] Arganbright
Graveside services were held at Wheeler Cemetery for Mrs. Orville Arganbright July 19. She had passed away in Oklahoma on Wednesday, July 17 and services were held early at Strong City.
Leona M. Smallwood was born September 15, 1876 in Perrin, Mo. She was the daughter of John S. and Martha Doak Smallwood.
She was converted September 2, 1890 at the age of 14 and joined a Methodist Church. Later she joined a Baptist Church and was baptized at Elk City, Okla. She always lived a good Christian life.
She was married to George Walker. To them two children were born, Chester and Lavena.
Later she married Joe Davis. She had one child, Russell Davis by this marriage.
Later she married Oran Arganbright, who passed away while they lived in Wheeler, Texas, March 18, 1948.
She has been in poor health for several years and not able to live alone.
She made her home with a grandson, Dale Hiatt and his wife, Janice, the past three years at Strong City, Okla.
She was preceded in death by two children, two sisters and two brothers, two half-sisters and a half brother, and husbands.
Survivors are a son, Russell Davis; grandson, Dale Hiatt; a sister, Mrs. George J. Bailey; four step-children, Narville Arganbright of Wheeler Iva Stafford of Washington, D.C., Ada Rowe, Washington, D.C., Ira Arganbright, Oildale, Calif.
