WHEELER - Ina Mae Brotherton, 90, died Friday, Jan. 24, 2003.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in First Baptist Church of Mobeetie with Dr. Toby Henson, pastor of First Baptist Church of Wheeler, officiating. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home.
Mrs. Brotherton was born to Henry and Hattie Rutherford Vise in Anson on April 5, 1912. She attended schools in Anson. She married Claudy Brotherton on Oct. 19, 1928, in Anson and moved to Hemphill County.
She then moved to Wheeler County in 1961. She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church of Mobeetie. She was also a member of the T.E.L. Sunday school class. She enjoyed going to singings.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1998; and a great-granddaughter.
Survivors include a son, C.B. Brotherton Jr. of Wheeler; two daughters, Dorothy Honath of Amarillo and Doris Finsterwald of Mobeetie; a brother, Murry Vise of Tulia; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to First Baptist Church of Mobeetie or to a favorite charity.
