*Obituary
C. Watson Burgess, 98, died Friday, November 20, 2009, in Davidson, Michigan. Church services were held at the Church of Christ in Wheeler, Texas, Saturday, November 28, 2009, at 10:00 A.M. with James Bruster of Port Aransas, Texas, and Dr. Shawn Johnson of Wheeler, Texas, assisting. Burial followed in the Wheeler Cemetery, Wheeler, Texas, under the direction of Wright Funeral Home, Wheeler, Texas.

Mr. Burgess was born May 31, 1911, to James Monroe Burgess and Callie Mae Carver Burgess. He was married to Estelle Harris from 1937 until she passed in 1989. He then married Mildred A. Wright in 1991. Watson was a long-time resident of Wheeler. He was a manager for Southwestern Public Service Company until he retired in 1976. He moved to Oregan, Michigan, in 2000. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Wheeler, Texas.

Mr. Burgess is survived by his wife, Eldena Wright; two sons, Jerry Burgess, Southlake, Texas, and Mike Burgess, Burnet, Texas; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

The family requests that memorials be made in Mr. Burgess name to The Tipton Home, P.O. Box 370, Tipton, Oklahoma 73570.
