Allen B. Hale, 41, died Sunday, January 16, 1983.
Services were held Wed. January 19, 11:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church of Mobeetie. Rev. Ken Sheppard, Rev. Gerald Cowen, and Rev. Ralph Hovey officiated. Burial was in Wheeler Cemetery with Wright Funeral Home.
Mr. Hale was born in Mobile, Ala. He graduated from Miss. College in Jackson, Miss. He received a master's degree from Dallas Theological Seminary. He married Gaye Sivage in 1967 at Midland. He moved to Mobeetie in 1970. He was an English teacher in the Mobeetie public schools. He served the last six years as pastor of the Gageby Community Church.
Pallbearers were Willis Fillingim, W.F. Howard Jr., Roy Meadows, Bob Mickey, Bob Ratliff, Gene Signs.
Survivors include his wife; a son, David Hale of the home; two daughters, Elizabeth Hale and Sarah Hale, both of the home; his mother, Evelyn Hale of Mobile, Ala.; and two sisters, Louis Adcock of Mobile, Ala. and Margaret Arnold of Dallas.
