Mattie Lee King was born in Leesburg, Camp County, Texas to Leonard Leslie King and Theodocia Overcash on July 24, 1917. Her mother died when she was 2. Leonard remarried to Ila Brandon.
Half-Sister of Dr. Charles Leslie King.
She is the wife of Buren Wilson Pilgrim and later Merle Emil Roemer.
Mattie died at the age of 86 in La Grange, Texas on December 4, 2003.
