Nellie M. Horton
Nellie M. Horton, 91, died Monday, July 21, 1997.
Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Thursday in Wheeler Cemetery with the Rev. Toby Henson, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are Wright Funeral Home.
Mrs. Horton was born near Mangum, Okla. She married Dewey Logan Horton in 1938 at Wellington. He died in 1958. She worked as a cook in the osteopathic hospital in Amarillo for more than 20 years. She also had been a farmer. Mrs. Horton moved to Wheeler from Amarillo 20 years ago. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two brothers, Gus Brock of Amarillo and Minor Lee Carson of Dallas; and two sisters, Sallie B. Harris of Wheeler and Helen Ward of Houston.
