Etta Kate Hubbard, 93, of Canyon died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2002.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Wheeler Cemetery of Wheeler with the Rev. Todd Dyess, pastor of First United Methodist Church of Pampa, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle.

Mrs. Hubbard was born Jan. 9, 1909, in Allen. She married V.B. (Bernice) Hubbard at Wheeler in 1926 where they lived until moving to Canyon in 1954. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Canyon. For the last several years she had resided in Bivins Memorial Nursing Home.

She was preceded in death by her husband in January 1984; and two sons, Gene Hubbard in 1984 and Charles Hubbard in 1987.

Survivors include a son, Edgar Hubbard of Pampa; three daughters, Pat Johnson of Pampa and Kay Barnard and Jo Richards, both of Amarillo; a brother, H.O. Crowder and wife, Juanita, of Anton; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

The body will be available for viewing at the funeral home.

The family will be at 3510 Stromberg Place in Amarillo and at 1841 Fir in Pampa.

The family suggests memorials be to First United Methodist Church, 1818 Fourth Ave., Canyon, TX 79015; or to Bivins Memorial Nursing Home, 1001 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo, TX 79106.
